Instructions for PVC ID Cards
The standard ID is made from a PVC Card and printed with an expensive Die-Sublimation Printer. Our Unique Inkjet Printing sheets give you the ability to easily produce standard PVC cards with out an expensive printer.
To make an ID card using our printing sheets you must use an Inkjet Printer. We recommend using an HP printer with around 600 Dpi Resolution. Set the paper type to premium.
After you have printed your ID, cut it out and peel the sheet apart. The printing surface has an adhesive backing, carefully apply this to the PVC Card. (Center and apply pressure evenly to eliminate air bubbles)
You can apply to the front and the back of the ID. Once you have applied the printing sheet you must cover it with an overlay to protect the surface. You can use either a hologram or a clear overlay.
Generally if the back of an ID is only text it will not need to be covered, this varies depending on the use of the ID (Amount of Touch, Exposure to light, etc).
Instructions for Teslin IDs
Use Teslin to make a secure and flexible off-white ID. Teslin is more flexible than PVC. The white standard IDs used by most companies are on a PVC card. Teslin is used by some states for identification as well as many companies.
To make a Teslin ID you will print on the Teslin, cut out your printed ID and insert it into a butterfly Pouch. Then you must laminate it using a high quality heat laminator.
If you wish to have a hologram on your ID you can either use a holographic butterfly pouch or add an overlay to a completed ID.
You will need to select your teslin based on the type of printer you have. SP generally works with both types but is thinner.
